Create Positive Results Consciously in the New Year

Every year comes with its benefits and drawbacks. Has it become a habit to fail achieve your set goals each year? If yes, have you ever thought about why you are not achieving your anticipated progress?

This is because we frequently keep making the same mistakes. After all, we pay little attention to crucial details which have the power to either make or unmake us.

Nine key strategies for starting the new year with positivity.

1.    Be intentional about your goals: To succeed this year, it is important to have a plan of action. Itemize your goals for this year and work towards making them a reality. Chopping down your yearly goals in monthly and weekly goals is a great help.

2.    Start the new year on a clean sheet: There is something very powerful about new beginnings. It gives us the opportunity to start with a clean sheet. It can work cathartic. Most people are still struggling in life because they are hesitant to let go of their past mistakes and failures. Starting your year on a clean sheet will be incredibly helpful. Avoid the blame games and move forward.

3.    Develop your skills and talents: You are not far from achieving your goals. All you need is to improve your abilities and maximize your full potential. Identify what you can do best and improve your practice. Take some relevant courses online or in-person to improve your professional or career life. When you take steps every single day, at the end of the year you will look back at a transformative year.

4.    Love yourself and also be kind to others: Practice kindness without return. Being kind is a habit that humanity is obligated to. Treat people the way you would like others to treat you. Treat people with kindness and respect regardless of their status in society.

5.    Start the year with positive thoughts and enthusiasm: A mind is a powerful tool that must be controlled positively. It informs our actions and inactions and therefore must be worked on to improve its functioning. Learn not to overburden your mind this year.

6.    Take your health and wellness very seriously: Always remember that you need good health to sail through this year. The key question of interest is: How well do you take care of yourself? To embark on this successful journey this year, take your mental, emotional, and physical health seriously. Visit the health facility for checkups periodically.

7.    Have a daily routine: Get yourself occupied with a worthwhile activity to avoid giving room for negativity. This is usually an activity, more or less like a hobby that refreshes the mind and improves its functionality. It could be yoga, sports; whatever makes you clear your mind.

8.    Practice forgiveness: Forgiveness is therapy and people who practice this act offset themselves of a great deal of anxiety. Many people are in a disconsolate state because of their inability to forgive and let go of past issues. It is about time to genuinely let go of this bitterness to free space in your heart to love and not to reciprocate.

9.    Mindfulness: Many people have lost their lives as well as opportunities in the course of engaging in their daily life activities which we are not immune to. It is very important to practice mindfulness to always make you aware of things. Mindfulness can be practiced everywhere (driving, swimming, working, etc). Remember that, being mindful also has to do with learning to control emotions and tongue to avoid getting yourself into trouble.

Setting these positive intentions at the beginning of the year is a powerful exercise, finding subsequently ways which work for you to maintain a positive mind and resourceful habits; will support you to be intentional and conscious about living life fully, developing personal and professional growth and becoming a positive and powerful presence for those around you.

Wishing you a year where you can fully savour life while making your growth and wellbeing a priority!

Much love, Barbara
